” Time In A Bottle”

December 26, 2016

Those of us recall the beautiful lyrics of the song, Time in a bottle by the beloved Jim Crose. The song is timeless, These are those moments if you could possibly save all those precious minutes. I haven’t been here a lengthy time as yet but have accomplished a great deal personally. Namely I have gained a bit of weight which for me is monumental. Was between 85-89, now I am between 90-93. Now you ask how? Milkshakes, bagels and cream cheese, eating three times again small amounts as usual, and don’t forget those calzones too. Mainly just being with my precious son, Andre and keeping calm too is essential.
Went to my eye doctor and to another doctor too on the 19th of December and am content to report that things are well. Eye Pressure was normal, the sonogram had shown an attached retina and there weren’t any eye tumors which means I can keep my left eye is tact. Great news.
Went to pay my cricket bill and the place had moved so had an opportunity to go downtown on the bus with Andre. While there which was a wonderful invigorating walk to arrive at the place, Andre had a surprise for me. We walked near the beautiful Genesee River with these majestic beautiful gargantuan seagulls flying overhead and sometimes they would greet us while sitting on the side above the river. Then we walked past these many world flags which Rochester is their sister cities.
What a tremendous experience and will return downtown just to see those sights soon. Been taking the bus which is good. Many times the bus is crowded with travelers which I stood in the isle instead of taking a seat which many have offered however felt more comfortable standing. Actually it is a short distance and when the weather is less harsh we intent to walk the distance. Actually Andre has walked downtown and back. He has taken the Genesee trail which is beautiful and over a covered bridge. This will be great experiencing for myself too. There are many outdoors activities in the spring and summer which are free.
Speaking of walking the sidewalks were like ice staking underfoot for both of us. Many times we had to walk in the street where it was cleared.
My thoughts are to find an apartment which is within reason. Have been looking online just to get ideas. Intend to land one soon enough. I am confident I can do that in a reasonable amount of time. Lets close this for now, simply expressing to everyone who reads this, Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year 2017, with lots of love, countless hugs, and endless peace in this wonderful world.

” More Adventures”

December 3, 2016

More adventures are on the horizon with each day I awake to a promising insightful future. Drinking some hot tea at the moment aids in calming nerves! Got some great gifts including two different boxes of tea, a pair of black fur boots, some day or nightwear, a pair of jeans, a sweater all from my dear niece Liz! Finally got the box from my friend Alynn containing things of my winter robes and other various items of mine and my sweetest son Andre things. Got that December 1st. It was delayed in the mail and had another destination date. However kept the tracking number just in case. Speaking of December 1st had an appointment with Ronald D. Plotnik M.D. and it was a piece of cake. This doctor is phenomenal. It was a lengthy day too which I surely didn’t mind in the least. Have an appointment with Dr. Plotnik and Dr. Kieran a retina specialist who will take a sonogram of my left eye, reason being is that Dr. Plotnik is curious as to what is under the eye, and wants to rule out a retina detachment. or an eye tumor. This is the first time a doctor has questioned this matter. I am highly content and curious myself after these many years. Dr. Plotnik was a student of Dr Shapiro in the 80’s and spent many years learning under his guidance. He will drop a letter to Dr. Shapiro while in the process mentioning me and where I am. This appointment with the 2 doctors will be on the 19th of December. Oh after the sonogram Dr. Plotnik will again check the pressure. Then in June I have a six month appointment with Dr. Plotnik. The first appointment last 2 hours longer than usual because I was a new patient. On the 2nd of December went to my new bank, Canandaigua National Bank and open a new account. Then on the same day phoned Social Security to speak to them. Been taking wonderful walks too. Will be looking feverishly for an apartment too. Have a list of items to do in December. Andre is doing ok! His roommate John is phenomenal. His kindness is overwhelming. Adam Andre’s other friend here is doing well and was kind to go to the Flaum Eye Institute at UR Strong Hospital with me. On a personal note I weigh 85 pounds. It goes between 85 and 89. This is depending on the emotional level at the time. Feeling copacetic with this.
